Synchronized Video/Text

Historically, videotaped depositions were reserved for evidentiary testimony and "key witnesses" because VHS tapes were simply too cumbersome to review and use effectively.  Today's technology has changed all of that.

Katz Consulting Group's
video production team can synchronize the court reporter's transcript to our video, or to video shot by another firm.  We provide a CD containing our easy-to-use software, which allows you to quickly search, review, highlight and create video clips to share with experts, or present using Powerpoint or popular trial presentation software such as inData's Trial Director or Verdict System's Sanction II.

Your video plays in synch with the transcript, allowing quick navigation by keyword search, page/line references or by instantly moving forward or backward in the video.  When you put a Katz Consulting Group synchronized CD into your computer, the player below will automatically load up, and you are ready to go!

Highlighting and creating video clips takes a click of the mouse.  It's just that simple.

How Does It Work?

1. Video

Have Katz Consulting Group's legal video specialists shoot your depositions, or provide us with video shot by others. Either way will work for us!

2. Convert

We convert (encode) digital or analog video tapes so your computer can play them back. MPEG1 is standard for trial presentation, other formats are also available.

3. Synchronize

You provide us an electronic version (ASCII, Etranscript) of the court reporter's transcript, we synch the written word to the MPEG video file. We give you a CD or DVD with the video, text and viewer.

4. Search, Play, Clip

Put the CD or DVD into your computer, and our viewer will load up and start playing. Search for words, play your video and create clips for trial. Fully compatible with Powerpoint and today's litigation and trial presentation software.
